Samphire Studio; new to summer 2017, this ground-floor studio apartment combines seaside with style amidst its’ unique mid century design, elegant decor, private botanical garden and within seconds from the beach.

Samphire Studio is the latest project by Angela and Olivier Noverraz, owners of the award winning guest house Trevose Harbour House. The studio and space echo colour, serenity and style with a predominantly green interior. Inspired by its exotic garden, the studio exhibits growth and nature through its bespoke detailing and luxury mid-century style. Samphire Studio is located directly below Sands Studio, nestled within the cobbled streets of ‘Downalong’ and only steps from Porthgwidden beach.

Weekly prices start from £610 per week in low season to £1,550 in high season. Change over day for weekly stays is preferably Friday, however please enquire as other check in days may be available. Green ‘the colour of life’ is recognised all through the recent renovation project of Samphire Studio. Inspired by its botanical garden and the glow of coastal seaweed, the studio exhibits a mostly green palette and explores retro influences through its unique mid century style and decor. With all furnishings chosen individually, Samphire Studio displays local artwork, tasteful books, a bespoke designed kitchen and an elegant en-suite shower room.

We require a 30% deposit at the time of confirmation and the balance 8 weeks prior to arrival. The entire rental fee is payable at the same time as your booking if the booking is made 8 weeks or less before the start of the rental period. You may pay by debit or credit card or by bank transfer.

The M5 and M6 (south bound) lead to the South Country. From Exeter, follow the A30 until you meet the A3074 towards St Ives. The road is mainly dual carriageway. As you arrive in St. Ives along The Terrace, you will need to drive right into the town and along the harbour front “The Wharf”. As the harbour starts to curve onto the cobbled road, pass the Sloop pub and turn left up Fish Street. Drive to the end of Fish Street and turn right on Back Road East. Take your second left up Burrow Road. Drive right to the very end of this road and as the road curves to the right, you will see a parking area directly on the corner. Our space is located directly behind the garage and there is a sign alongside the granite wall saying “Samphire Studio Reserved Parking”. As you exit the parking continue a few metres along the road and the entrance to the apartment is on your right through a white gate. Please put our post code TR26 1PL in your sat nav but drive slowly as you approach the destination as it may ask you to continue past the parking space.

Newquay airport is about 45 minutes away and has regular flights from many UK cities. Exeter airport is about 2 hours away and has some flights from overseas too that arrive there. From the airport, we recommend that you hire a car or book a transfer/taxi service.

There is good service from most major cities. From the mainline Penzance service, exit at St. Erth Station for the St. Ives branch line which takes approximately 10 minutes. From the train station, we are a 15 minute walk. Please see the arrival directions by car. Alternatively, a taxi can be booked from St Erth or from St Ives to the apartment, which should cost around £5-12.
